I was raised in a storytelling family. After a 27-year engineering career, I pivoted to pursue a passion to perform and “read for a living”. The third oldest of 9 children, and father of 10, I’ve been entertaining children with books and stories all my life. Between Toastmasters, storytelling clubs, elected political office, and serving as Lector and Lector Trainer at church, I’ve entertained and educated adults also. When not investing time with family, volunteering with Knights of Columbus, or camping with Boy Scouts, I can be found in my home studio

Ray is a farm boy, born and raised. He had a rough life, and this book chronicles Pastor Stanton’s life from a young child to age 27, when he put a gun under his chin and God spoke to him, stopping him from pulling the trigger. The book is funny and sad.

DAD
In 1989, my first child was born. She was followed by 9 others between 1991 and 2014. Reading to my children and helping to instill a love of reading to them has been a tremendous blessing.
2014-Current
PAPA
In 2014, about 18 months after my youngest child was born, my first grandchild was born. Reading to her and watching her play and grow continues to keep me young.
2008 - Current
LECTOR TRAINER
In 2008, after having served as a Lector in our Church for several years, I was asked to lead the ministry and train new Lectors. Since then I have trained over 100 people to be Ministers of the Word and how to read interpretively; using their voice to transfer the message of the author to those who will listen.
